the first meeting

the team in KT(HQ) is very efficient eventho we kinda short-handed with manpower. there are only 9 officers (including me) to cover up the whole state where the workloads supposed to be handled by at least 20 over officers (according to the Boss). and i feel grateful that the colleagues and bosses are more or less the same as the previous office. and people work like family rather than mere colleagues and the Boss, in fact, listens to us; problems etc. at least i may coax myself that i’ll be happy on thursdays; if i join the meeting. there are basically FOUR complaints/issues i brought up during my first meeting since my place and KT(HQ) are not of short distance. so i have to utilize my chances wisely. certain things are better left unsaid. so, i would share only two issues instead of all four due to secrecy reason(s).

the first obviously, the basic; my office. my office is not in the same building or even attached to the building where i work. and the best part is, my office is accessible by the officers and staffs at that particular building; the district office. on my first day, it was shocking to know and see how they utilize my office into a store-room by dumping all the sukaneka stuffs, goodies and printing papers. met the Boss there to inform him about my office condition and with a phone call he directed his staffs to clear up the room. he explained that the main switch for the air-conditioning system is located in my office, of which people has to come and out for the air-cond. i (humbly and wisely) suggested for the room to be offered to the in-house officers and if i may, i can swap, but was refused. so, since im a federal staff instead of state, I went to the labour office to ask for an empty room and luckily they have one of which i belive just nice for me (and of course, not accessible by anyone anymore. with keys and locks). i told the story in the meeting, and my Boss said I was fast. and he asked me to get the office details so that he culd help me with a proper letter to be submitted to the labour office director.

the second one was on internet and phone connection. even though the office provides a telephone and a modem, but when I tried to get connected, to no avail. i did call the person-in-charge with the office and technician, but up to this date, progress is not seen. patience is virtue, i belive. but again, being in my post, i cannot do my own research, sending daily reports as needed, or even printing materials for my references, etc. i need all that for my working efficiency. i really hope that people will listen as i don ask for the extras, but the basics. yes, basics. after all I have not so much of time running here and there to get things settle as my workloads are of the utmost attention. it is a shame for an officer not to have a proper office when he was promised things will be settled once he/she steps into the new tenure. but, the promising words seem much sweeter than the reality that I have to face. jauh panggang dari api. but somehow since im expecting the worst and not the best in this remoteness, i just know that i can survive, but it just a matter of time. the ex-boss asked us to give ourselves a period of 2-3months to fully adapt with everything; the culture, people, food, environment; just to share a few. and we shall see how it goes.

so the order was obeyed. and the place is far far in east coast in a small and remote place. The feeling was a mixture of excited, contemplating and everything.

this entry is not about complaining (merely), but sharing the new experience; with those who care (still). expecting the worst instead the best is what i hold when im here. at least this place has kfc and pizzahut outlets. and mydin not to be forgotten. that is so much of relieves. it is pretty shocking to claim a town as bandaraya when my kampung-hometown in northern region has sky-creepers and much more pleasant and well-structured. and this fact almost cost me psychiatric-illness. one thing i note is that, most locals in this new place is not that welcoming and approachable (not because my issues with them, mind you please), but they tend to give the “look” to the outsiders; as if you are the new clown coming to their town. pity me, i know.

my office is no better. my official office is not located in the same building which i work. i know, funny isn’t it? i have to get my stuffs settled at the place I work instead at my very own office since it would be ridiculous for me to commute here and there, just to get things done. the workloads are piling and shocking. things are old and new to me. there are still “shouting” and ass-kicking for super-snail-slow staffs here. Most staffs are very helpful, warm and super-kind. i learnt a lot from them actually for the past few days since no colleague to refer. but the workloads could never be any less meaner to me. im struggling hard to fit in these new phase the soonest possible. and I give myself two to three months time to fully adapt with the culture, people, working-environment and everything. oh yes, the office has no telephone line and internet connection which of course made my days even worst. preparing for the worst, remember?

they say, im talkative. but sadly, no one is here for me. to talk, to share, to everything. usually it is like kacang-putih for me to make new friends with the new crowd. but not here where im the new clown. in this new place, i have no one. seriously no one, no one. no relatives, no friends, not even half-friends in this new place. and the best part is i have no colleague at all. the “colleagues” that available are those in the main office or headquarters in the aforesaid bandaraya which i only met on thursdays for meetings. and just to reach there i have to be on wheels for an hour and quarter. it is to the extent that if i die here, no one will know. or even care. and that’s too exaggerating, no?

being in this new place, there are a lot of things that i need to shift, adjust and adapt with. my weekends are no longer on saturdays and sundays. no more zara and topman. no one-utama or midvalley. or even ikea (mr.meaty-meatballs-with-extra-gravy, me missing you already!). and yes, no black canyon and subway. the only life I have (so far) is my office staffs and a housemate. the ones that i meet almost daily. but as I said earlier, i was expecting the worst and considered myself luckily that I dont kill myself (yet)

i know there are a lot of nice things here. but I just don’t see any (yet) *sigh*

it all started when remarks were made by the nerdy-valedictorian-antagony to his batch-mates during the pre-graduation day. the remarks made were so “intense” that the antagony’s life is not going to be the same afterwards. it is cliché as the story is about how the-nerdy-antogony and the-queen-bee get together at the end of the story. adding to that, the cheerleader-queen-bee role is played by hayden panettiere which makes it more stereotype. and the story basically about what happened throughout the night after the remarks were made. but one thing noted, hayden surely can handle the role well (and the army-guy (Kevin) kick-ass-actions were awesome though). since the-chick-flick is not my cup of tea, I believe that this movie can make us unwind and relax. thus, I give this 5.5 out of the 10 points scale.

as we share the same oxygen to breath (and to lit up fire), i belive the next common thing that we human-being share is the feeling of ungrateful. either we realize it or denying it, it runs in our blood-vein; at least for the normal human-being. and being as an imperfect, i feel the same some times (oke tipu, most of the time really).

the current one would be my biggest step in entering the new phase; the career. seriously i never expect that this beginning in the next chapter of my life will be this freaking cool and superb. the working environment is splendid. people around are very helpful and friendly (even the head of units. no kidding!) and the relationship that binds us more to families as to colleagues. undeniable that the workloads are piling up and some time even on weekends just to comply with the two-weeks KPI kertas siasatan statistic, but we really enjoy what we are doing and yet we still can laugh and share stupid-jokes. stress and tense are everywhere, but how you handle them that matters.

the "ungrateful-ness/complaint" that i have to admit is missing my days back in uni; especially during the final year. true enough that the stress level also was pretty scary, but with those people called friends around (and gurau-senda-tawa-nangis firmmates), everything seems to come in handy tho we complaint quite a lot back then. but thats the beauty of it. the working environment was stressful with endless assigments and back-to-back presentations, breaking-neck-tests etc but we managed to survive throughout the final year after all the sweats and tears. i personally belive that a good working environment is crucial to boost our performances in everything we do. the inner-positive-energy comes subsequent as part and parcel. so, in nutshell, a good working environment c0mes into picture only when you yourself bring that vibes to the environment. and just dont spoil others if you intended to enjoy the rest of your day. chill! :)

terdapat beberapa ralat yang ingin dinyatakan di sini.

pertama sekali mengenai pemilihan bahasa. blogger kebiasaannya memilih bahasa inggeris sebagai medium perantaraan mungkin kerana sudah terbiasa walaupun pada hakikatnya tahap penguasaan kosa kata bahasa inggeris blogger sendiri tidaklah setinggi mana. perkara ini tidak disengajakan dan hanya disedari setelah ditegur oleh adik blogger sendiri. maka, blogger memastikan lebih banyak entry berbahasa kebangsaan pada masa akan datang; itu pun jika masih ada yang mahu terus membaca atau peduli

ralat kedua ialah berkenaan sensasi blog. kepada pembaca atau yang mengikuti blog ini pasti akan bosan (jika tidak sedikit, banyak) memandangkan tiada apa yang sensasi untuk dikongsikan melainkan apa yang dilalui oleh blogger sendiri. tiada drama untuk ditayangkan mahupun pihak untuk dijatuhkan. hanya apa yang dilalui sendiri untuk dikongsi bersama; itu pun jika masih ada yang mahu terus membaca atau peduli.

ketiganya, keterlewatan entry. memandangkan blogger sudah memasuki alam pekerjaan sebagai penjawat awam, masa agak terbatas memandangkan komitmen terhadap bidang baru ini masih memerlukan perhatian yang sewajarnya. kendatipun begitu, ini tidaklah bermakna blog ini akan terbiar bersawang sebegitu saja. entry-entry masih akan diletakkan untuk tatapan dan dikongsi bersama; itu pun jika masih ada yang mahu terus membaca atau peduli.

autobots, goo!!

“ohhhem!!!”. i was saying “AWESOME” while my jaw is dropping. swear to God that i did enjoy myself watching the sequel. stunning and amazing. i even did not allow my elyes to blink even once. thanks to megan fox, i mean, mr. michael bay. thahaha. as the director, he really knows how to create wonders with his magical touches in this movie. nothing would go wrong when you combine jaw-dropping-actions (realistic ones of course) , good actors, a super hot babe and a wonders-creating-director. as expected this movie would get a standing-ovation and rated as must-watch from me personally. some internet reviews said that the sequel is not as thrilled as the previous one. personally i think those reviewers had put so much of high expectations in which at the end devastated them. no doubt that this movie truly a box-office and will stay in the chart for months to come. and all the credits should be given to the team members; especially mr.bay himself. two things to be noted; what happened to the one-eyed-small-decepticon-bigfoot and secondly what happened to the-autobots-jongang-twins? Despite of these, i give the movie 10.5 from the scale of 10. oke tipu and over-exaggerating. i give 11 in fact. no kidding. have fun and enjoy peeps!

the month of june this year is associated with so many things.

firstly, the fathers day. the person i used to call Abah had left the family for The Creator 's call almost a year. we usually celebrated the day with makan-makan with whole family members plus giving him gift. (the last was an armani parfume). i remember that Abah was the person who taught me how to almost-everything. there are too many memories that he shared and left us with. physically he was much a strict person, but that was merely on the surface. from the inner side, we know that he loves us so much that he will ensure his loves last forever; until the last breath of ours. and the memories remain, still.

secondly, on 24th is Abah’s birthday. he was ‘taken’ away about two weeks after we celebrated his 55th birthday; just weeks after we came back from the family vacation and just few days after abang’s engagement. and apparently, his birth date this year (yesterday) is in conjunction with 1 rejab. The whole family members decided to puasa sunat as arwah always encouraged us to.

thirdly, praised to God for the offer that adek got to pursue his degree in bachelor in mechanical engineering in a southern peninsular ipta and he has to register on june 28th. there were attempts ‘persuading’ him to undergo his degree in uitm, but to no avail. he knows what he wants. so, i let him to decide his path. and on this coming friday, we will be driving to kl to fetch abang and the day after we will heading to johore (yes yes, bleh sight-seeing along the journey)

next, transformers 2: revenge of the fallen. finally its here. and the first show was also on 24th. ive been very keen for this (for God’s sake). very anticipated. finally adek and i went for the midnite show and it was surprising to see (and know) that the showroom (if they call) is fulled and the other room has to be opened. yes, im taking about alorstar and i thought only kl holds the title “the city that never sleeps”. mind you that the next day would be the working day. the movie was totally awesome and trully a jaw-dropping as i expected. and of course just be patient for my next entry.

and, of course my new world; the career. on july 1st ill be furthered my steps into the next level; into the career world. the real world. hopefully everything will run well and smooth and im very anticipated to ‘face’ and ‘taste’ the real world after been struggling through sweats and tears. for five years in shah alam. every ending is the new beginning. quoting from nyda-suster’s post, “It's not over. It's never the end. It's a new phase. It's another chapter. It's still the same book with the same title. The latest edition. Same author, different characters”. and hopefully this would be a great one. insyallah.

monsters vs aliens

bob + monster frens = farking funny freaks

it took me more than one week for the updates due to the busy-ness. nothing much to share since the schedule packed with the routines; including chores. yes house-chores. enough said. today i watched monsters vs aliens with adek since we already watched most (i rather say ALL) latest movies. the premise and storyline were cliché and typical but no doubt that the animation techniques were amazing, great and realistic enough. too many good things create wonders. and one thing to note is the movie was a damn hilarious especially those lines by bob; the blue-jelly-monster. the continuous laughter started from the introduction of the monsters at the secret lab till the movie ended. one defect that noted was the part where the president was offered a drink in the middle of climbing the stairs to meet the destructive machine when obviously there was no one or stage at the stairs seen previously. to cut it short, this movie, although an animation will be enjoyed; not only by the toddlers but also adults. well, at least me myself enjoyed. and i gave it 6.5 out of scale of 10. enjoy watching peeps!

her convocation

i joined the seventieth uitm convocation last tuesday for her convocation. hers was the eleventh session. we managed to cilok one staff car sticker (and thanks eyesha for this) to park at the parking lot instead of getting on bus to the hall. everything was more or less similar the same with my bls convocation. be it the gamelan, the singings in between, the protocol; just to list. but the only difference (or i rather say the highlight of the event) would be the award giving ceremony for prof shad saleem as the professor emeritus uitm. his speech was so intense and very meaningful and the time went by without we realizing that the speech was actually more than 15 minutes. both; me and her mother was amazed with the wordings and their arrangement. among things that i recall are; don fear the pressure because it turns stones into diamonds (yeah, i know you’ll notice this on his whiteboard) and another one; in everything you do, do it the best of your ability as success requires 10% aspiration and 90% perspiration. ohya, convocation is technically associated with flowers and instead of buying one bouquet for her, i made one of my own. my style. just for her

i was late for a few minutes in the beginning and please blame my current obsession and addiction; black-canyon for this (haha). the movie was awesome with all the cool stunts, great cinematography and superb camera effects and tricks. with all these movie ingredients, one couldnt go wrong to produce a great action movie. the movie starts with the judgment day where john connor apparently has to save his dad who apparently much younger than him from the machine as requested by his mother (sarah connor) thru a tape. for this purpose, he has to collaborate with his "sort-of-hero-enemy”, marcus wright; a partly human and partly machine ( i rather say a “cyborg”). the machines are cool (seriously) and the best for me is the mototerminator. sumpah cool habes and buat ak ternganga (and berangan nak satu. hehe). seriously, i enjoyed the movie-outing and personally rated this piece as a jaw-dropping-one and really worth it. and "star" remains as a star tho without any dialogue, but merely the parkinson-sense. haha. super-coolness. i guarantee. so, enjoy!

when i cleaned up my firm and cubicle, i found one tiny dark-orange wrapped box with very bold-purple-ribbon on my table. theres a sort of card/note on it saying;

pretty-hilarious

and so i watched the movie yesterday. it was damn hilarious and funny. i personally think ben stiler didnt much outstanding besides showing his stiff side (not his acting) in this. but the supporting characters are the main highlights and very much helpings. among the best are the slapping-monkeys, head-banging-einstein, octavious and the squirrel, kahmunrah and many more. the plot starts after lavey had becoming a successful businessman for household-products (the latest was the glow-in-the-dark-flash-light) and no longer working as the night-guard at the museum. due to some technology improvement, lavey’s-museum-friends apparently are going to be dumped and vanished. and the journey starts there. this is just another stiler’s piece i think. such movie genre is not my cup-of-tea but when you got owen wilson and ben stiler together, youll know you wont get up from the seat without recalling back the jokes and funny parts. so, enjoy einstein!

i passed the interview held by the AGC last saturday. the feeling is of much relieve. after of much thoughts and inner debates, i just know i want this post. but this passing is still subject to the final exam results *sigh*. currently i pray hard to pass with flying colors or at least pass all the papers (aminn). the eight panels were nice enough and the session wasnt that stressful, though the head of interviewer was the AG himself. some might say he loves to provoke the candidates/interviewees, but i verily believe he just want to see our reaction on how to deal with stresses and all. one of the most obvious points noted, all other officers incharged on that day were very friendly, warm and helpful enough. no kidding. be it the counter lady, encik nizam who assisted us to the interview-chamber, or encik radhwan who was with us prior and after the interview (and his kindness for tips sharing n all. maaf saya mmg suka bertanya and banyak mulut. tp one thing, expect phonecalls from me, encik radhwan. haha). i rather say the AGC’s human resource department is just the best and should be the mould for all the malaysian-typical-muka-masam-hr-people-at-the-counter. the rest of the day went well. alhamdulillah

american idol: determination and modesty

the show just ended. he was the so-called “underdog” by almost everyone and today he proved that nothing is impossible so long you have the determination, honesty and modesty. he pushed away the idea of failure and proved that there is no boundary to achieve his dreams. i think everyone should think the same. seriously m not his fan (or any), but his new-arrangement for “heartless” by kanyewest really insisted me to give second thoughts on who will be crowned as the next idol. he sings directly from his heart and his delivery make us “feel” the songs that he carried. he is kris allen; the latest voted-king in town. undeniable that mr. lambert got the talent and voice and was expected to win by most professional and non-professional commentators. but kris allen proved such thoughts were wrong. and as a matter of fact, all the top three was fantastic, superb, and marvellous. be it danny gookey, adam lambert or kris allen himself, all of them are superstars. their voices are solid gold which king midas would be envy of as he merely turn things into gold. haha. m quite excited that i have to do post this entry as m not the constant american idols previously except for the finale seasons and for this one, i followed since early. the point that i want to stress here is so long one has determination to achieve his goal and with the right and adequate efforts, nothing gonna be the barriers. kris allen is the best example for this.

i promised to myself that this review wont be as long as the previous one tho the movie was superb. tho i was excited but it was not that skyhigh as m a constant x-men follower since i was little. the movie was great that i didnt realise when it already ended. basically this movie tells us about the origin of one of the main x-men characters; logan/james/wolverine. how he got his nick (wolverine of course, not jimmy), his claws and all. the special effects are super damn cool. but i would like to draw the intention on the part that deadpool still alive and he is in china. yes, he is guys! i know many of us dont realise this, but this part only appears after the all the credit at the ending. the credit part was long enough for about 8-10 minutes. thanks to the newspapers and the internet reviews that i informed about this. as i said, i wasnt excited enough as i already know the origin of him but i watched just to see how they put it on film. not bad. and the movie was a great show tho. enjoy!

"angels & demons"

oh, after sooo many good movies ive watched, now only i can share something as reviews. there are plenty of good movies i watched which to be considered deserving standing-ovations and rated as jaw-dropping-ones which to include slumdog millionaires, sell out, cape no.7, parfume; the story of a murderer and many more. there are too many to list down. and i just watched “angels and demons” yesterday with some buddies.

before that, since i missed to share the previous excitement, let me brief on several movies which i enjoyed watching (again and again? dont mind at all!). “cape no.7” is a must-watch because of the wordings in the letter. they are touching enough (it is unbelieveable for me to say so, but its true if “touching” is the word. Mmg menyerap jiwaraga. hahaha). and the movie requires focus from the audience as the first thirty minutes you wont see the picture just yet; until they introduces the lead actor. basically the storyline is about the mayor (the subtitles said so) of an island wanted to form a band to attract the outsiders to the island, yet the youngsters keep on going and moving out from the island. so, the journey starts there. and apparently last two months, astro aired the movie.

i love drama type movies since m not sure what genre they are, but i categorised them as drama-movies i.e. “chocolat” (yes, without “e”), “parfum: the story of a murderer”, “a walk to remember”; just to list. “parfum” is so dramatic and is about the bastard (the lead actor) born with a special nostril-sense as he can determine and recognise everything; even from far. everything. fear, joy, anger, lust; just name it. the story starts when the boy turns into an adult and try to discover and does his own ‘researches’ to improve his skills. the same for “chocolat”. the story is about passion of chocolate that the chocolate-maker has. she created chocolates which can bring one happiness, sadness, etc. the background is around 60s, but they got johnny depp in that, i think. i watched this on tv when i was like 9-10 years old. since then my passion for the drama-movies stuffs bloomed.

undeniable the storyline of “slumdog millionaire” is simple and dramatic. and yet i hav no idea why the local film-makers have to come out with all the slapsticks i.e. gila bola, gila-gila pengantin remaja, cinta seratus ela, cinta kolestrol (and all other “cintas” and “gilas”). thanks to all the new-age-directors e.g. yasmin ahmad for enlighten a bit of our local film industry path. sumpah storyline “slumdog” is simple nak mampus and undeniable it deserved the oscar. the story is about how the lead actor manage to answer all questions in the programme of ‘who wants to be a millionaire’ of the indian-version. the story starts there. as for “sell out” (instead of ‘sold’) is a sarcastic movie about malaysian. the reality of malaysian. the truth of how MOST malaysian (or i rather say typical) react. those who deny these facts are those in the state of denial and hypocrisy. it is in mandarin and it supposes to be a comedy show and yet we are laughing as the director managed to turn ‘our’ silliness, foolishness and selfishness (and not to be forgotten, stupidity) and we keep on laughing as that were the truth. the reality of ‘our’ surroundings. the environment itself. the bureaucracy, issues on money, reality shows, corruption, typical bosses, love, etc. the movie is an award-winning at overseas. another thing about this film, the songs chosen are superb and marvelous and very ‘painful’ somehow. but, i was a bit confused on the ending somehow. however, overall the director really deserved the overseas-trophy and rated as must-watch from me.

better i stop here for the previous reviews. concerning “angels and demons” i haven’t read the book tho i was offered at first to read to understand the movie. but, i refused to as i dont want the same devastating and disappointing feelings as what happened on “ayat-ayat cinta” and “memoirs of geisha” when i read d novel first before i watch the movie. the feeling is not the same eventho the movie was based on the novel. the same scenes and storylines. budget and too-lenghty would be the reasons for the details to be ignored. yet, the messages were delivered. At least, the main ones were. Enough said bout these devastation and disappointment.

now, concentrating on the newly-watched-movie, it was a great and a worth-watching-movie. and of course a worth buying ticket (unlike the shopaholic-movie-thingy). i was stunned from the introduction of the movie until the credit part appeared. i even didn’t allow my eyes to blink (okey, ni exaggerate melampau. haha), but believe me, even those who watch the movie without reading the novel would understand the whole storylines. and of course this movie has sort of the so-called sequel to the-boring- “da vinci code” which the latter is less interesting (just admit it. hehe).

basically this movie started with the plot where the pope’s death of which the “thrown” has to be filled with his successor. the successor or pope-to-be, however, has to undergo some sort of meeting to draw lot on who is going to succeed the dead pope. there are four “favourite” Pope-to-be who were kidnapped by one illuminati-psycho due to the “previous revenge” who apparently loves to riddle. and the story starts from there onwards. i wont spoil the mood of those who haven’t watch the movie. again, it was a worth watching movie and has nothing to do with our religion. so, i bet it is a movie for all.

seriously, i was stunned from the start till the movie ended. and i even said to my buddies that i dont mind at all to watch the movie for the second-time. i only uttered this the last time after i watched transformers 1. yes, this is the impact of “angels and demons”. perhaps some of you might think that i over-reacted or exaggerating. my advice is just go and watch the movie and hand down some comments on this entry. again, this movie really deserves a standing-ovation and is under must-see-movie. at least from me.

ps/m keen, super-eager and super-duper-excited for “transformers2: revenge of the fallen” which will be released somemwhere in June. from the thriller, i know its gonna be another jaw-dropping one. big-applause to wonders-maker, mr.michael bay.

this post kinda late for a week.

after my final paper on the 10th, i went back straight-away to the city of angels. my heavenly paradise. there are a lot of changes (the city) since the last time i was here. the reason to be here the soonest possible is due to the fact that mother's day this year fall on the same day of my final paper. the celebration managed to turn the feeling of devastation on how "well" i did for the exam papers 180 degrees. totally. so, here are some pics to share with :)

The Call

the intention to create such a blog existed "centuries" ago; after all the events went off just like that and finally, in conjunction with the eagerly-waiting-call that reached me this afternoon, i decided to get one as my "dear diary". for this my very first entry, i would rather say that im thankful to God and to those people who prayed and being so supportive along this path; family, relatives, friends, and you. yes, you. finally, i managed to get the call for a post that i wanted to. desired to. it was a relief. seriously. you may heard stories of any kind on me, but now ive made the decision. and hopefully, this would be final. it better be. being an imperfect being, i can only do the arrangements, but in the end, only with Him the decision lies. concerning the phone call that just made my day and resulted me acting extra-hectic today, it just not basically a mere just-another-interview-arrangement; this is the one that ive been waiting for eagerly. though it just still at the lowest level, at least i forwarded another step in my life; towards the dream post of most people that i know. thanks. thanks to all. thanks to the nice-warm-soft-talking telephonist who informed me bout the news. you just made up my day. yes, the phone call was from the Attorney-General Chambers! again, thanks!
